I'm not sure if Roosevelt Island is considered DC area for purposes of MdOsprey. If not I apologize and assume Norm will delete this message.

A fairly quiet day in terms of migrants. Total of three birders, including the two of us. A continuing mystery to me - a great site, ideal for pre-work birding for people who work in VA or DC, and a great morning in terms of weather. We were greeted by the Warbling Vireo that seems to be show up in the tree at the parking lot end of the bridge every years. Tons of Yellow-rumped Warblers and a few Blue Gray Gnatcatchers. One Black-and-white Warbler and one Blue-headed Vireo. Loads of resident birds, of course.
