Weather:
Sunny, becoming partly cloudy, then back to sunny again; 49-72 degrees;
good to excellent visibility; winds progressed from Calm to SSW to S to SSE
to SE and increased in speed over the course of the day, reaching 12 mph,
gusting to 21 mph
Raptor Observations:
Good diversity with Sharp-shinned Hawks, Broad-winged Hawks, and Merlins
making a strong showing. Over 2000 raptors in two days.
Non-raptor Observations:
Over 500 Blue Jays; Orchard Oriole a new arrival

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
