Hi Folks,
I spent about 90 minutes birding the Swan Creek Wetland (and Cox Creek
Dredged Material Facility) in AA Co., yesterday afternoon, with a few
interesting finds. Of note was a BANK SWALLOW, among three other species of
swallows; a SAVANNAH SPARROW (somewhat tough to find in AA Co.), and my foy
LEAST SANDPIPER and LESSER YELLOWLEGS (2). Also present were SIX Little
Blue Herons, all adults, and ELEVEN Spotted Sandpipers, all working a small
section of beach along the Patapsco River. The big dredge pond hosted a
dozen CASPIAN TERNs among a couple dozen gulls. The ebird report below.
