Everyone that still has siskins around, take note!

Pine Siskins were found to be nest building about a month ago in Lancaster, PA, far from normal nesting areas.? Theoretically, any of the Piedmont and Ridge and Valley counties would be fair game for nesting siskins.? Marshall Iliff told me the other day that Pine Siskins were nesting in many places in Massachusetts that were not typical locations.?

Good birding and nest finding!

We were surprised when we arrived home. There was one siskin on the groundfeeding on spilled sunflower--but it was a just-fledged young! First breeding record for Howard County!?
