Hey everyone,

I got over to Centennial Park this morning to look for the Common Moorhen that has been there. I arrived at the park at 7:15 and found the bird shortly thereafter at 7:30 this morning. Nice looking adult bird! The bird was located just to the east (right) of the roped off area at the first island east of the roped area. It was on the south side of that island.

For folks that aren't that familiar with the park, I accessed the area from Centennial Lane which is off Rte. 108.

Directions: From Rte. 29, take Rte. 108 west.
Go to the intersection of Rte. 108 & Centennial Lane.
Turn right onto Centennial Lane and go approx. 100-150 yards.

Park along the shoulder at Centennial Lane and walk to the east (right) into the park on the paved trail. Go about 200 yards and look for the bird to the right of the roped off wildlife area. You'll know you have the correct spot because there is a hedgerow that goes along the lake, (and limits viewing of the water) but, then the area "opens up" where you'll see the rope going across the lake.
