The highlight of today's walk in the park was a brief appearance by a BLUE SKY and a SUN, which of late have appeared only as occasional vagrants. Potential chasers take note: they were gone by the time I left.
The best avian sighting was a low flyby MERLIN. Otherwise there were only a few new birds for the spring, but a lot more activity than the past few days. Warbler diversity was the best it's been, though with no standouts. SCARLET TANAGER and BALTIMORE ORIOLE were present. I had the first SWAINSON'S THRUSH of the year, but also a lingering HERMIT (possibly the first time I've had both here on the same day).
