Hi Everyone,

I decided to pay a quick visit to the Race Road Wetlands on my way in to work this morning. The highlights were a singing PROTHONOTARY WARBLER, a rare breeder in the county, as well as two male WILSON'S WARBLERs. The first WILSON'S was singing just south of the power line cut that crosses Race Road at the south end of the wetland. The second WILSON'S and the singing PROTHONOTARY were at the north end of the wetland near Church Avenue. Thanks to Ron Gutberlet and Joe Hanfman for pointing me to the north end of the wetland. I texted Joe about the Wilson's and he pointed me in the right direction for the Prothonotary. Hopefully it will work out as a fair bartering of bright yellow warblers. Joe was almost there when I had to get to work, dress pants soaked to above the knees from walking through wet grass. It's a cool new look around the office.
