Inspired by Bill's fashion advice, I decided to quickly take the dog
for a walk on the now overgrown B&A Railroad bed in West Annapolis.

Aside from dirty, wet slacks , I also had TWO WILSON'S WARBLERS.
Rounding out the walk were 2 Great-Crested Flycatchers, a Magnolia,
Common Yellowthroat, Parula and two Blackpolls.

I went back with my camera and managed a few photos of the Wilsons.
I'll pop them up on the blog later.

Best,

Dan Haas

The highlights were a singing PROTHONOTARY WARBLER, a rare breeder in the county, as well as two male WILSON'S WARBLERs. The first WILSON'S was singing just south of the power line cut that crosses Race Road at the south end of the wetland. The second WILSON'S and the singing PROTHONOTARY were at the north end of the wetland near Church Avenue. Thanks to Ron Gutberlet and Joe Hanfman for pointing me to the north end of the wetland. I texted Joe about the Wilson's and he pointed me in the right direction for the Prothonotary. Hopefully it will work out as a fair bartering of bright yellow warblers. Joe was almost there when I had to get to work, dress pants soaked to above the knees from walking through wet grass. It's a cool new look around the office.
