or hell, if you're not a fan of trying to ID Catharus Thrushes!
Today is my stream sampling day at SERC in Edgewater. The back road is closed during the day unless you have a valid reason to be on it, like tending stream samplers. Anyway, the trails and road had a nice variety of thrushes including 3 Veeries, 4 Gray-cheeked Thrushes, 1 Swainson's Thrush, plus 8 Wood Thrushes and 1 American Robin. A little bit of warbler diversity including singing birds:
Northern Parula 3
Black-throated Blue Warbler 5
Blackburnian Warbler 1
Yellow-throated Warbler 2
American Redstart 3
Ovenbird 4
Kentucky Warbler 1 (Stan, this was in the same location where we didn't find it last week!)
Common Yellowthroat 4
Hooded Warbler 1
