Late last week the second North American record of Greater Sandplover showed up near Jacksonville, Florida. Reports from Wednesday are all negative so it appears that the wee beasty has moved on. Who knows where it will stop next but the mid-Atlantic could be a good way point. It is quite a unique looking bird:
