After a few restful days of no birding whatsoever, I ventured out to
the Blue Mash Birding Trail in northern Montgomery County at about
8:30 a.m. this morning. In an hour and half birding I neither saw
nor heard ANY migrants!

On the other hand, some of the local breeding species were present in
good numbers, particularly: 22 GRAY CATBIRDS, 11 YELLOW WARBLERS, 9
COMMON YELLOWTHROATS and in particular 5 WILLOW FLYCATCHERS (all up
and singing). Also of note were 1 Yellow-breasted Chat and at least
5 Orchard Orioles.

Good Birding
