While I did not hear the Science Friday broadcast, I heard it advertised and
thought that the interview must certainly be with Doug Tallamy, who
coincidently, was the guest speaker at our MOS conference last weekend. He
gave a compelling talk about planting native, and many of us could not
resist buying his book.
The reasons for planting native plants had never before been presented with
such clarity to me. Every birder should hear this guy talk, or read his
book.
