Raptor Observations:
Mississippi Kite, probably an adult female, at 11:05 am (daylight time).
It soared and glided by fairly high, with a brief acrobatic maneuver
enroute, maybe to go after a dragonfly. Third MK of the season.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
