I counted as many as 30 Black-bellied Plovers over Patton Turf Farm this
morning. All were seen flying in flocks of 17, 2, and 11. None were seen
on the ground. A big number for Montgomery. No other shorebirds seen
except for a killdeer despite numerous puddles from last night's heavy rain.
Wish I had time to check Summit Hall TF but with all the rain would
probably have required a swim across the canal to NPS/turf farm property
line to get a decent look past the foliage. The focus wheel on my Nikons
has not worked right since trying this about 2 weeks ago.
