This morning around 5 I woke up to 1 Nighthawk flying over my back yard.
This is the 3rd time that I saw and heard it this week. later today
around 7 : 40 pm my dad and I watched a lone Nighthawk hunting over the city of
Pocomoke it later flew across the river into Somerset. It was a thrill to
watch it dive from a great height to catch a bug we also noticed that it
had a pulsing flight while hunting ( 2 slow steady flaps then 3 or 4 fast
flaps). The Somerset Eurasian Collared Doves are still hanging out on
Pocomoke River Dr. I haven't seen any signs of nesting nor fighting just a lot
of cooing and showing off for the camera.
