Everyone,

As a follow-up to my message this morning, I was mortified when it went out to the entire list. A bad case of insomnia last night resulted in about 1 1/2 hours sleep before arrising at 4:00 to arrive at work at 6:00 am. When I checked my messages on an early break at work, I hastily tried to ask some folks what had happened regarding word that came out mid-week that there would be no HMI trip this week. With this weekend being one of the best of the year historically on the island, several of us were planning to try to go until word came out about their being no boat. Somewhere the information was put out incorrectly and was a tad annoyed about it. At this point it is obvious that my message didn't go to where I originally intended due to a misdirected click of my mouse when I was trying to edit the recipient list.

Regardless of whatever excuses I want to make for this, this error has caused me to think about some of the other postings that I have made over the past and to realize that my behavior hasn't always been in the best interest of the list or the birding community at large, and I have been called out on it on occassions. For this I offer a deep and heartfelt apology. I will make my best efforts into being a better member of this community in the future, and I ask for the opportunity to do so from all of you. Responses are not necessary. Thank You.
