Hello, all.
I echo Diane's sentiments. Having been warned by others, when I go birding I usually leave my purse at home and take my money/DL/credit card on my person. The storage bag for my camera and binocs, even when empty, goes into my car trunk. I follow this procedure pretty much wherever I go to bird.
