Not exactly related to Maryland birding, so I hope Norm will allow this.  I am currently in North Dakota and birding along the way enroute to my final destination of  Sandpoint, Idaho.  This afternoon I was at Lostwoods NWR and not having great success.  I was nearly finished there when two birders came up from the opposite direction.  Cut to the chase ... I ran into Ed Boyd and Jim Staz also out here birding.  What a surprise.  They were having much better luck than I was and told me of a place for Chestnut-collared Longspurs where I was finally successful.  Great fun when this happens.
