A group of about 10 birders stood vigil over the previously described cormorant roost area south of Violette's Lock from about 5 pm to dark yesterday. I belived we did see the target bird, but need some additional opions on my photos to confirm. The bird was not located till pretty late in the day with poor light and did not afford immediate comparison to a DC. The body size and coloration seemed fine, but it was difficult to see bill size and facial patterns well. The angle of how it was sitting made tail length difficult to judge as well.

Keep trying!!
