Lance,

When you hike N. Assateague during nesting season, you have a long path that's about 100 feet wide and 9-10 km long.  You either hike in the tracks of the research vehicles up next to the restricted area signs (which is necessary if you want to view any of the bay-side areas) or else you walk down near the waves, which is easier, but you totally lose the view of the bay-side areas.  I was just trying to insert a little humor into my post, not offend anyone.

        So, why in the hell did you have to walk so close to
        their breeding area?  Little "sh-ts" - ANY remorseful
        feelings for stamping on their breeding grounds!!
