The note below came from Talbot Bird Club Member Vince DeSanctis who lives
on Tilghman Island. It came in response to my posting of the King Eider
sighting at Poplar Island. Seems reasonable to suspect it was the same
bird.

Les

This morning in Tilghman along the rocks by the TOC Marina I found an eider
near the shore. Unfortunately I was without my binoculars and could not
confirm whether it was a King or Common. I returned with a scope a bit later
but it had disappeared. Given Jan's observation I am wondering if this was
the same bird since Poplar Island is only three miles away.
