Same here Rob.
We've had a House Wren singing by the woodpile lately, which was not here
in May or June. Wonder where it was hiding itself? A Robin is nesting on a
low branch in front in one of the Bradford Pears.
We recently lost a whole family of E. Bluebirds. The female disappeared
(but I suspect a cat got her), then the male was seen singing a couple of
weeks ago from the top of another (empty) box, searching for his mate. We last
saw him with what looked to be a broken wing as he hopped along the ground
and into the weeds beyond our yard. Then I found the box had a full clutch
of dead young (4-5) who probably succumbed to starvation...
It's been a very difficult year here for nesting birds. We never did see
the Baltimore Orioles fledge any young. They seem to have abandoned their
nest as well.

A House Wren has recently set up a territory within earshot of our
townhouse; it was not present in May and early June.
