I had a good morning walk around Schoolhouse Pond. There were a lot of wading birds. The adult, breeding plumage Black-crowned Night Heron continues at the pond, retaining a long white plume down the back of its head. Also, a juvenile Little Blue Heron flew in as well. Both birds allowed me to get fairly close photos. Other waders present included 4 Great Blue Herons, 1 Great Egret, and 2 Green Herons. Otherwise, it was fairly quiet, although small numbers of gulls have begun flying over in the morning.
