Hi Everyone,

The following message is posted on behalf of Brad Lanning (blanning at adventisthealthcare.com).

"... we found a Forster's Tern in breeding plumage at Williamsport yesterday. My Grandfather spotted it fly in and land on a buoy just down from the boat ramp. Occasionally, it would fly up to the island above the bridge and fish for a while and then come back to land on the buoy closest to shore. Great looks were had by all. This was a long-awaited county bird. Also present was a small diving duck that looked like a young Ring-necked but showed some other interesting markings as well. It could be a hybrid. If you could pass the word along for anyone who might be in the area in the near future that would be helpful. Blair's Valley had 2 Spotted Sandpipers as well. Thanks again!

Brad"

Nice county bird, Brad--I need it! Well done.

Good birding,

Bill
