For about the third time in the last week I am treated to a singing
BALTIMORE ORIOLE in my yard. I've never noticed them singing during
migration this much. Must be a new fad. Makes it almost sound like May out
here.

As for the usual HUMMER wars, this is the time of year they really get
heated. Can't go out back without ducking a couple of combatants. We have
put an additional feeder out front to keep them out of sight of each other.
I think this is the best thing Hummer feeders can do- keep feeders out of
sight from each other to cut down the fighting. We have 2 out back and if a
male is sitting on one, nobody gets to drink from the other one either. He
owns both of them.

So far I have avoided being impaled but then I don't go out much in this
heat.
