I'm still paying attention to the birds on the Mall, even though there has been little to report lately.  Today I saw a Black Vulture soaring high over the Mall north of the Smithsonian Castle, and there is a Great Egret fishing at the Constitution Gardens pond.  It was noticed by at least some of the tourists.
