For the first time since late June we have singing Baltimore O's this AM. I
figure them to be migrationists from points north. I think I was told many
years ago that our local Orioles tend to be on the road south by August.
Anything we see in Aug and Sept are not ours, but travelers from the
northern end of their range. I'm just surprised that they are singing their
way south. They usually shut up in late June and don't make much more than a
chatter until next year.
