If you are retired military, you can schedule a very thorough hearing test
at Walter Reed Hospital (or elsewhere), and if you need hearing aids you can
purchase them at cost (typically at a third or fourth the normal price). I
had my test last week and was very impressed.

If anyone is interested, Army and Navy Retirees should Google on RACHAP
(Retiree At Cost Hearing Aid Program) and Air Force retirees should Google
on RHAPP (Retiree Hearing Aid Purchase Program).

Good luck,

Everyone is different. You need to go to a clinic for a full evaluation.
THEY will select the best brand for you. I can recommend Johns Hopkins, but
I know there must be others. If you are closer to DC, the clinic at GWU is
also very good.
