I keep a thistle feeder up all year. During the
Pine Siskin invasion of this past winter, I had 4
up and I have left 3 up all summer. For the past
month or so the Goldfinches have been eating me
out of house and home. The feeders are emptied
every other day.
Hummer activity is still high. I can see 5-10
about any time of day and 10-20 before dusk. I
think I have 24 feeders up and most need refilling
every other day but not all at the same time.
This morning I had a male Red-bellied Woodpecker
bringing his offspring to the suet feeder.
