Around 8 this morning I saw what I thought might be a large wet leaf hanging from my hummer feeder. It was not a leaf. It was a distressed hummingbird, hanging motionless, upside-down, bill pointing at the ground, seemingly unconscious. After many moments it began to stir--but as soon as it started to right itself, it was attacked (again) by another hummingbird. It flew off, pursued.
