On Tuesday, September 1st, I observed a flock of approximately 15 seabirds several hundred yards off shore at Scientists' Cliffs, South Beach.  At the time I thought they might be Wilson's Storm-petrels, but they were far enough away to make it difficult to be positive that they were indeed "paddling". I did manage to get a good look at one individual sitting on the water.  It had a back stripe thru its eye.

Today Dr. Joe Mihursky called me to report seeing Storm-petrels off shore at about the same time I observed them.  He has much more experience with the species than I do as he has frequently seen them from research vessels during his years of research at the Ches. Biol. Lab.
