Location: Cabin John Regional Park
Observation date: 9/4/09
Notes: Good Morning at Cabin John Park. Started on the powerline cut where I ran into a few good mixed flocks and picked up several balt orioles and most of the warblers for the day including my FOS TENNESSEE WARBLER. Next I headed down to the clearing below the nature center and immediately picked up 2 NASHVILLE WARBLERS. Unfortunately, I had to let some Empids go today, but I did get a great look at one YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER between the creek and the wooden fence. 4 Scarlet Tanagers were hanging around the small clearing with the wooden water trough. Things really slowed down by 9:30.
