I saw a few interesting birds this morning (9/4) in western Howard County. At the large farm pond in Fulton was a Greater Yellowlegs. At Western Regional Park there were two Blue-winged Teal and a Solitary Sandpiper in the pond by the entrance. At Western Regional I also saw a late Cliff Swallow flying by. A flock of six Horned Larks was at a sod farm along Jennings Chapel Road east of Hipsley Mill Road. Five Caspian Terns were flying over Triadelphia Reservoir near the dam.
