The Stilt Sandpiper continues this morning on the mud flats just downstream from the Patuxent River bridge at Browns Bridge Road. Several observers and I had decent to good views from the end of the boat ramp on the Montgomery County side. Later, Peter Osenton and had better views from the Howard County side. At one point all the shorebirds took off and the flock appeared to fly very very close to the county line.

Other waterbirds included 1 Great Egret (Howard side), 1 Little Blue Heron (both sides), 30-40 Killdeer, 3 (+) Lesser Yellowlegs, 2+ Solitary Sandpipers, 4-6 Spotted Sandpipers, and 4-6 Least Sandpipers. A Sharp-shinned Hawk made 2 sallies out from the Howard County side, trying for brunch.
