Today, my wife Colleen and I hiked the Herrington Manor to Swallow Falls
trail which runs between the two state parks and through Garrett State
Forest. It was a very pleasant hike despite the gray skies and light mist.
It definitely felt like autumn! Though we weren't birding, I did have my
binoculars and we hit a couple decent pockets of migrants. The highlights
included 10 warbler species, among those were one TENNESSEE WARBLER, one
BAY-BREASTED WARBLER, and 2 CAPE MAY WARBLER; and singing YELLOW-THROATED
and WARBLING VIREOS. The complete list follows below:
