Hughes Hollow seemed a bit slow from a numbers perspective this morning. I walked the dike a couple times trying to ferret out some skulkers but it seemed like every bird turned out to be a Common Yellowthroat. A couple of Yellow-throated Vireos were still singing along with a couple of very vocal Red-headed Woodpeckers. I did some Paul Woodwardesque bushwhacking behind the 2nd impoundment on the right hoping for a flock of migrants but it was very quiet with nice exception of picking up my county Least Flycatcher!
Hawk watched at home for an hour from 12:30 - 1:30 pm and counted 27 Broad-winged Hawks passing over.
