This was one of those days where you don't go somewhere. You meander
somewhere. You know, the sort of drive you take that involves as many back
roads as possible and every now and then you pull off to get some jerk off
of your rear bumper that thinks he knows where he is going . Makes me glad I
don't ever know where I'm going.

I meandered into the Catoctins again and still couldn't find a Goshawk to
brag about. However the Chickadees helped me find at least three warbler
bunches. Wish I had a snake to toss out there so I coulda got better looks,
but here's a list of what I managed to identify.

BLACK-THROATED GREEN
BLACK-THROATED BLUE
BLACK-AND-WHITE
MAGNOLIA
AM REDSTART
OVENBIRD
E PEWEE

and a possible NASHVILLE, but I didn't get a very good look. Wish warblers
would learn to fuss around in slow motion. Like I do.

On the meander home I got a decent look at a KESTREL, but don't ask me
where. I was probably lost at the time. My dad always said you should always
come home a different way than the one you took to get there. And since I
have no clue how I got there I was safe.

Dad never seemed to give a ___ that he was lost most of the time either.
Must be a gene I got from him.
