Thanks to all for the ovenbird diagnosis. The head didn't have the 
orange stripe in the crown yet - just the striping -  so I  wasn't 
quite sure, but then I couldn't find anything else with that white 
breast & belly, heavy striping and that short tail with the white 
underneath.  Probably an easy ID for everyone but I have never seen 
one before so it was a nice affirmation.

PS - it was found under her bay window
