Frances & I had a pretty good outing for the PG County fall 
count.  We mostly did the Laurel area, but I also walked the 
Paint Branch Stream Valley Park trail from Cherry Hill Rd to 
the University in College Park, and back.  Species totals 
below (eBird report).  Highlights included: BLACK-CROWNED 
NIGHT-HERON (juvenile) at Laurel Lakes along with 2 GREEN 
HERONS; an OSPREY at the reservoir (no thrushes though); a 
RED-HEADED WOODPECKER flyover at Montpelier Mansion (full 
sun -- wow!); and 8 warbler species throughout.
