Today I birded mostly along Oldtown Road in Green Ridge State Forest
for the Allegany County Fall Count. Before that David Yeany and I
heard a pretty decent thrush flight at the FSU campus with several
Swainsons and lesser numbers of Gray-cheeked, Veery, and Wood Thrush.
Prior to that at Finzel Swamp we had similar thrushes and one that was
pretty convincing for Bicknells Thrush.

At Oldtown Road my favorite bird of the morning was a Philadelphia
Vireo but there were lots of other warblers and vireos about as well.
At Banners Overlook (off of Mertens Ave between Oldtown and Green
Ridge Roads) I stopped to eat lunch and counted 94 Broad-winged Hawks,
2 Red-tailed Hawks, and 2 Adult Bald Eagles.

Good Birding
