This afternoon on the way home from meetings in St. Mary's County, I
dropped by the marsh.

The recently-reported Yellow-crowned Night Heron continues. The 'No
Trespassing' sign on the gate was down, so I walked out to the scope
the Bay. As I looked back towards the marsh, there was the heron,
sitting on the sandbar in the middle of the creek leading back to the
marsh. The majority of the flow was on the South side of this
sandbar... so, is that Anne Arundel?

Calvert?

Okay, well... either way, I'm delighted. It's a tick!

As for St. Mary's... my list for that county remains pathetic. But,
now that only means there is more birding to be done.

In other news, there were hundreds of Forsters Terns in the Bay, at
Herrington Harbor and in Fairhaven.

Good Birding!
