I birded at Governor Bridge Natural Area for a couple of hours this afternoon and found a few pockets of migrants. The highlight was an adult Rose-breasted Grosbeak. The bird was foraging mid-level in some tangles along the path to the canoe launch very near the main parking lot. Other migrants seen included 2 Magnolia Warblers, 2 American Redstarts, 1 Black and White Warbler, and 1 Chestnut-sided Warbler. Also present was a female Indigo Bunting, Titmice, Chickadees, several Downy Woodpeckers, 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker, several flickers, 1 Pileated Woodpecker, an Eastern Phoebe, plenty of Catbirds, and 1 Belted Kingfisher.
