Lots of good birds to chase have kept me busy these last few days. Dan Haas
and I stopped off at Gov. Bridge Natural area on Sunday afternoon to see
what we could turn up. We had a few nice migrant flocks that had some nice
birds including a drab Cape May Warbler, a couple Grey Cheeked Thrushes, a
FOS Yellow bellied sapsucker and a Philadelphia Vireo.

The following day I received work of a Connecticut Warbler found by Mikey
Lutmerding at Gov Bridge so I raced over to try and find it (Lifer for me).
Dan Haas and Stan Arnold were already there. No luck on the Connecticut,
but I did have a nice little flock including a FOS DARK EYED JUNCO. Dan
Haas got a call about the BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER at Swan Creek found by
Bill Hubick so we sped (literally) up try and get this one. After two
downpoars, Dan found the bird in the south cell feeding amongst some kill
deers. I will get soaked anyday for a county bird of this caliper. Also
amongst the flock of shorebirds were several least sandpipers, 2 semi
plovers, and the WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER found earlier in the day by Stan
Arnold.

Lastly today I rushed over to Muddy Creek Rd. to try and find the Western
Kingbird found by Tyler Bell. Dan Haas, Joe Hanfan , Tyler Bell, and myself
stuck around for about an hour, but the bird did not return. I may give it
a go tomorrow morning. Complete lists are as follows:
