Hello everyone,

I decided to take my furlough day today and bird some counties that I've essentially never birded before. I didn't have very many warblers or a ton of species overall, but my day was easily a success because of the LINCOLN'S SPARROW that I came across at Pickering Creek Audubon Center in Talbot County.

I birded a few other places in Talbot and Caroline, joining up with Bill Hubick for an hour or two, before calling it a day.

Some other quick highlights:

Black Walnut Point: Brown-headed Nuthatch, Common Loon (adult in nonbreeding plumage, flyby), Lesser Black-backed Gull (standing in the parking lot with Ring-billeds and a Laughing), Bobolink

Pickering Creek Audubon Center: LINCOLN'S SPARROW, 2000+ Common Grackles (couldn't see anything else in this flock. At a distance, these guys actually threw me off at first because a lot of them were missing almost all of their tails), 343 high flying Canada Geese.

Eveland Road: European Starling (closeout #3)

Tuckahoe State ParK: American Crow (closeout #4)

Martinak State Park: Tennessee Warbler, Merlin
