While waiting for my daughter's swim practice at MC - Rockville Campus
to end, I drove over to the large grassy area between East Gude and Rt
355 that serves as some kind of Natural Gas facility. Its not the
prettiest part of Rockville but I'm always daydreaming that this might
be a good spot for a Eurasian Collared-Dove to show. The EUCD remains a
day dream but while checking out a tiny storm water management pond
behind an office bldg on the NE side of Dover Rd across from where it
meets Old Dover Rd, I had a Marsh Wren calling and got a quick look in
the fading light around 6:30 pm.
Go figure. Search the county since 2003 and finally get not one (Gail
Mac's bird) but two Marsh Wrens in same week.
