Dave Czaplak found a Connecticut Warbler at Hughes Hollow this morning
around 11 AM. It was still there around 3:50 PM.
It was on the outside edge of the small path that goes around the
smaller separated pond in the northwest corner of the 1st impoundment on
right. Just beyond where a small channel (dry at moment) goes from the
smaller water body into the bigger one.
Three or four times it flushed from the thigh high purple flowered weeds
that extend a little ways out from the shoreline. Each time flying up
into the brush or short willow trees on the shoreline.
Only one of the flushes led to an ID'able look for me. Robert Ostrowski
got a decent look after the 1st time it flushed. I left around 3:50 pm.
Ottavio Yanni, Rob Hilton, Sandy Farkas and Dave were still there. Not
sure if they saw it again or not.
