I did my 8th annual Big Sit from my bucket overlooking the southern end of Jug Bay.  My total was 65 species during 5 hrs and 45 min in scattered hour and half hour sits.  Big surprise was a GNATCATCHER.  Two other new species for my cumulative list were BLUE-WINGED TEAL and SWAINSON'S THRUSH (heard pre-dawn, along with WILSON'S SNIPE and GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH).  Cumulative list now at 111.  Enjoyable was the constant chatter of RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS and watching the antics of a large flock of SHOVELERS.  First time misses were HERRING GULL and FORSTER'S TERN.
