Finzel Swamp was somewhat unspectacular this morning though the fog
and icy trees were interesting. I had 8 Ruby-crowned Kinglets there
which I thought was interesting. The water level at Piney Reservoir is
low which led to some interesting shorebirds including 7 Greater
Yellowlegs and 14 DUNLIN which probably in turn led to the presence of
a MERLIN. With the shorebirds on the mud were 4 AMERICAN PIPITS.
