Once again, I enjoyed watching a PEFA dive into a flock of Rock Dove
this morning in Baltimore. Over the years, I've observed the local
Peregrine many times when entering or leaving the Baltimore City PS HQ
on North Avenue.

Today the pigeons abruptly scattered when the very wet falcon exploded
off it's perch on the top of a nearby steeple-like thingy. The falcon
dove down below the tops of the buildings on the South side of North
Avenue, sending even more birds immediately into the sky. Maybe it
got breakfast? Maybe not. Either way, inspired I went into my
meeting... ready for the kill. Okay, I was really only there to work
on some orders.

But even when surrounded by the paved, urban expanse of uptown
Baltimore, I feel privileged to be able to enjoy some birds on a rainy
work day.

Good Birding,
