About a half hour ago our front yard was a busy place. A flock of
chickadees, titmice and nuthatches was joined by my FOS white-throated
sparrow, yellow-rumped warbler, and brown creeper. I also have a couple of
hyperactive ruby-crowned kinglets, which may be the same two who showed up
last week before all the rain hit. They're still out there, flitting between
the witch hazel and the dogwood.

We took advantage of the soaked ground today to hammer in a post and put up
a screech owl box. I'll let you know if we attract an occupant.
